Tunnel Vision…I feel now a days in the American Society when someone says “tunnel vision” most people take it in a negative manner and assume that the person is not open minded to other ideas. I think most people in the states would agree with that statement, however I can not speak for other countries, but I am sure that there is a few that can relate to similar thoughts when it comes to the term. In the United States we have become to be conditioned to the idea that multitasking is an art and if you get good at you can be paid handsomely for it, People will talk about how great your skill set is. as a multitask-er. However, this is not necessarily best as we have talked about in previous weeks post; multitasking is a form of scattered thought and scatter thought does not allow you to devote your full effort on the object or task at hand.
Part six of Haanel’s “Master Key System” talks about how tunnel vision is actually one of the most valuable assets you can have and can use to achieve/ manifest amazing things when able to apply its principle. Now to most people this sounds extremely absurd at first, but once examining the claims it makes great points to the theory. The overview of the claim states that if you can pin point your focus on your objective and stay tuned into it the subconscious will go to work twenty-four seven to create through universal law objective you, so much desire. For those in the MKMMA course this would be our DMP. Hannel has us focusing on a photograph and examining it with a magnifying glass to pick up on all the details from the most obvious to the most subtle. Once you can vision every detail and then re-imagine it later without the photograph in hand you are opening your channels for your mind to put into action a plan to obtain the objective, because the mind works in pictures. As our mentor Mark J states “once you can get the mind to think in pictures its game over.” Picture a football linebacker zeroing in on the quarterback for a sack or big hit. Use of the term zeroing in I think most people get a different feeling then from the term tunnel vision, such as laser focused. I find it extremely interesting how subtle changes in terms completely change our perspective. But, then again many of us already know this from our MLM business the use of skills that many of us learned or mastered through the go90grow course Mark J and the team. The part six exercise is preparing the soil for sowing of the seed. Next week we will start the sowing!
ET…Talks About Focus
When I was a young boy my mother would always talk to me about visualization. We would get into the car to travel somewhere and after putting on my seat belt she would say..”now picture the car in a pink bubble and us arriving at our destination safely.” At that age I always thought of it a fun way for us to say a quick prayer to have GOD look over us in our journey. As I have gotten older I started to realize that it was more than just a prayer, but a mental picture of what we wanted. We were painting the picture!
My mother instilled the foundation for this principle and I have noticed glimpses of it my entire life. From my teachers having us picture getting a perfect paper or an “A” on the test. To my coaches talking about hitting the game winning hit or scoring the touchdown that won the game. Even when I was in college pledging the fraternity they would always tell us that…”pledging is the greatest thing you never want to do again, but just think how great it’s going to be once you are a brother.” These are examples looking back were painting a mental image had huge impacts with unconsciously knowing how powerful the thought was. I have seen these thoughts work in the negative as well. Such as one teammate walked to the plate and said…”I hope I don’t strikeout” well sure enough he did. I see know that he already pictured this before it even happened. I can clearly remember a time were I knew that I wasn’t going to get an “A” on the test and bam I got a “B+.” I was so close and the “A” was clearly in reach. Haanel talks about the “Law of Attraction” and how what we think about grows and brings us “our own” the things we created through the thought process. Haanel…“Unfortunately, many of us are creating these things unconsciously.” I personally found this to be so true once I read this line from the Master Keys…Part 5…line 8. I now apply the Law of substitution and the Law of growth whenever I think about something I don’t like. Law of substitution talks about how we can not think of two things at the same time, so we must mental stop thinking of a negative substitute it for a positive, such as GOD or your spiritual figurehead. Law of growth states whatever we think about grows, therefor focusing on the positive thought you can grow that pleasant feeling. Then if we apply the Law of practice we can achieve our desired thoughts and feelings. The law of practice is just that practice we can not get good at something if we do not practice.
Part 5 of the Master Keys…Haanel talks about about how when some on thinks about building home they are very detail orientated and invest a lot of mental and physical time into the construction of it. I think most people would agree with that statement…right? Now think about this…What if we were that detail orientated and invested that much energy into the home we spend the most time in…would that be okay? The home I am referring to is our own “mind or head.” This is were we create goals, vision of our life, and develop mental strength to achieve GREATNESS! PAINT YOUR PICTURE…SEE IT CLEARLY!
The previous weeks post touch on how to start the journey to mental clarity. It is sad, but true that most people will never experience this clarity.
