Week 23 – Gratitude

Well this is our second to last week of the MKMMA course. It has been an absolutely life transforming course! I’m truly grateful for the hard work, time, and love that Mark J and the staff have placed into us as students and the course. Especially for the scholarships they have awarded.

As I talk about how grateful I am it makes me reflect on our studies of GRATITUDE! Gratitude is vital for your connection with the universe. Here are some of the exercises and readings that we have conducted to explain the reason behind this connection…

1. Law of giving and receiving index card

2. Gratitude cards

3. Emerson- Law of Compensation

4. Haanel- The Master Key System

5. Franklin Makeover- Kindness Week

6. Og Mandino- Various scrolls touch on this…

7. Wallace D. Wattles- The science of getting rich

These exercises and reading were given to us at various times throughout the course to bombard our subconscious through various angles.  On a personal note these have made me very observant to this practice of being grateful. One thing that has impacted me tremendously is the Law of  Giving & Receiving. The law states that we need to be in dynamic flow of giving and receiving and when we do not accept one or  the other we block this flow.

Example… I would sometimes tell a person that they did not have to do a certain something or give a specific gift. When someone did I would say awe thank-you but you did not need to do that.

In the example I am blocking the flow of receiving for myself and blocking the flow of giving from the other person. In all truth the person knows that they did not have to do a certain something, because if they did not want to then the wouldn’t of done it. I had to grasp this concept at first, but it has made a tremendous impact in my life as a person receiving gift and I accept with open arms and warm smile the giver feels much better than when I would try and deny the gift. The energy is stronger during the transaction and harmony is in full swing. I love it!

Week 22-The End Is Never the End

It is week 22 of the MMMKA course and we only have four official weeks left! The course has been an amazing journey and life changing! As I reflect back on the past months I am in struck with amazement and feel truly blessed to have been apart of this wonderful group of people striving for personal bliss!

Throughout the past months we have been exposed to the various types of ways people learn and comprehend information. We were taught the science behind why do what we do and how chemical addiction plays apart. The history and science behind meditation was given to us and how to use it effectively! We have been set-up to succeed to our bliss and eliminate the cement Buddha once and for all!

We are now trained observers and will never look at the world the same again! With the last four weeks coming fast I am curious on what benefits and tools are still to come! It is going to be an exciting four weeks, but at the same time I am truly going to miss my MKMMA friends in the alliances!

Week 20- Campbell’s Work

This week I viewed the film “Finding Joe” by Joseph Campbell. The concept was phenomenal and ads a lot of clarity to the journey’s we take throughout our lives and some through their MLM business.

I wanted to share the philosophy behind Campbell’s work with my readers/ followers, however a dear friend and mentor of mine Wes Smiegh shared with his readers the philosophy of Campbell’s work a few weeks ago. Therefor this week I would like to honor his work and spread the phenomenal post he released!

Life Changing Steps

The Master Key webinar for week 17a was about the “ The Hero’s Journey .”  The MKMMA staff presented The Hero’s Journey, a 4000 year-old story that is repeated time and time again in almost every story lines whether is a novel, motion picture or a real life story.  The facts, situations and circumstances change but the story always remains the same.

herosjourneyThe hero’s journey was first written and discussed by Joseph John Campbell, a scholar, writer and lecturer in his first book The Hero with A Thousand Faces.  Campbell’s work is vast, writing 23 books covering many aspects of the human experience.  He was an American mythologist, best known for his work in comparative mythology and comparative religion.  His philosophy is often summarized by his phrase: “Follow your bliss.”

The hero’s journey is about growth and passage. The journey requires a separation from the comfortable, known world, and…

Week 18- Death Of OLD Blueprint

Last week through our journey of the MKMMA journey we were instructed to read an obituary everyday from the newspaper. I have to say that this was an interesting task. The first part of the week I felt extremely sad and emotional reading about people who have just passed on. Some of the were old and some as young as 2 years old! I would find myself thinking of the love ones that I have lost in the pass and it was mixed emotions. I became observant to the fact that I was going through the 4 stages of grief that was covered during our last class.

1. Denial

2. Anger

3. Greif

4. Acceptance

Through the end of the week I felt a change of how I viewed the obituaries. I start to think and imagine how there life was and picture some of the things they may have done. For example if a certain person was in a War I would take my current knowledge of that particular war and play it out in my head like a movie. There no way of ever knowing, but I guess I want to discover if they had lived their life to their bliss or one of quiet desperation.

That made me really think how I wanted people to imagine me when I passed and if I could hit the grave with a HUGE SMILE looking the Guy In The Glass with complete satisfaction. Just turing 27 hopefully I will be blessed with longevity to carryout my bliss! Now that I have the tools and knowledge to conquer my thoughts to create any reality I so do choose I am eagerly excited for the FUTURE. I feel that I am in between stages 3 & 4 of the dying stage when it come to the old blueprint. I have accepted that there is no turning back but, need to master those feelings. I also think most of my classmates are at the tail end of the dying stage being able to stick through the course this long.

Week 17 – The Power of Concentration

Our reading of Part 17  from the Master Keys System by Charles Haanel focus on the use of concentration. In past sections Haanel for warns us about the use of hard mental labor will be crucial in our implantation of the exercises to apply the Master Keys principles. Stating that development of the mind comes through exercise just as physical exercise builds muscle. Once we were prepared for mentally that hard mental labor was necessarily to build the mental faculties of our brain/mind to level most people never think of he provided us with exercise itself. This exercise is concentration; deep, direct, and extremely focused concentration on a specific accompanied with hard mental labor and persistence over time…Sentence 17 sheds some light on this principle…concentration

17. The intensity of one moment’s earnest concentration and the intense longing to become and to attain may take you further than years of slow normal and forced effort; it will unfasten the prison bars of unbelief, weakness, impotence and self-belittlement, and you will come into a realization of the joy of overcoming.weights

I personally attend the gym daily and love to workout. As we all know thought our journey of the MKMMA material we have learned and discovered our ability to be observers. From our readings this week and the talk of concentration I have took noticed to all the people who are body builders at the gym. I studied their lifting habits, techniques, and form compared to the New Year’s resolution folks and as just amazed by the level of concentration they use while working out. Now we all probably could already agreed that they are extremely focused and concentrated to be body builders in the first place, but really study them next time you workout I saw a whole new level of concentration that was extremely precise. They achieved their results through this focus mixed with persistence. We also have the ability to build our brain/mind in such a manor through the same applications. The sad part is most people have no idea or desire to do so.

6. Concentration is much misunderstood; there seems to be an idea of effort or activity associated with it, when just the contrary is necessary. The greatness of an actor lies in the fact that he forgets himself in the portrayal of his character, becoming so identified with it, that the audience is swayed by the realism of the performance. This will give you a good idea of true concentration; you should be so interested in your thought, so engrossed in your subject, as to be conscious of nothing else. Such concentration leads to intuitive perception and immediate insight into the nature of the object concentrated upon. The following statements from Haanel share insight on the application of concentration and application…

7. All knowledge is the result of concentration of this kind; it is thus that the secrets of Heaven and Earth have been wrested; it is thus that the mind becomes a magnet and the desire to know draws the knowledge, irresistibly attracts it, makes it your own.

Week 5 – Building Your Dream Home…Mentally!

When I was a young boy my mother would always talk to me about visualization. We would get into the car to travel somewhere and after putting on my seat belt she would say..”now picture the car in a pink bubble and us arriving at our destination safely.” At that age I always thought of it a fun way for us to say a quick prayer to have GOD look over us in our journey. As I have gotten older I started to realize that it was more than just a prayer, but a mental picture of what we wanted. We were painting the picture!

My mother instilled the foundation for this principle and I have noticed glimpses of it my entire life. From my teachers having us picture getting a perfect paper or an “A” on the test. To my coaches talking about hitting the game winning hit or scoring the touchdown that won the game. Even when I was in college pledging the fraternity they would always tell us that…”pledging is the greatest thing you never want to do again, but just think how great it’s going to be once you are a brother.” These are examples looking back were painting a mental image had huge impacts with unconsciously knowing how powerful the thought was. I have seen these thoughts work in the negative as well. Such as one teammate walked to the plate and said…”I hope I don’t strikeout” well sure enough he did. I see know that he already pictured this before it even happened. I can clearly remember a time were I knew that I wasn’t going to get an “A” on the test and bam I got a “B+.” I was so close and the “A” was clearly in reach.  Haanel talks about the “Law of Attraction” and how what we think about grows and brings us “our own” the things we created through the thought process.  Haanel…“Unfortunately, many of us are creating these things unconsciously.” I personally found this to be so true once I read this line from the Master Keys…Part 5…line 8. I now apply the Law of substitution and the Law of growth whenever I think about something I don’t like. Law of substitution talks about how we can not think of two things at the same time, so we must mental stop thinking of a negative substitute it for a positive, such as GOD or your spiritual figurehead. Law of growth states whatever we think about grows, therefor focusing on the positive thought you can grow that pleasant feeling. Then if we apply the Law of practice we can achieve our desired thoughts and feelings. The law of practice is just that practice we can not get good at something if we do not practice.

Part 5 of the Master Keys…Haanel talks about about how when some on thinks about building home they are very detail orientated and invest a lot of mental and physical time into the construction of it. I think most people would agree with that statement…right? Now think about this…What if we were that detail orientated and invested that much energy into the home we spend the most time in…would that be okay? The home I am referring to is our own “mind or head.” This is were we create goals, vision of our life, and develop mental strength to achieve GREATNESS! PAINT YOUR PICTURE…SEE IT CLEARLY!

The previous weeks post touch on how to start the journey to mental clarity. It is sad, but true that most people will never experience this clarity.
